After months of training, a few colds, a few injuries, a new job, endless hours at school and work, TJ and Erin finished their first (with many more to come) 1/2 marathon last weekend!!
The home stretch! Don't they look great?!

Rowen, congratulating two of his favorite peopleThey ran the Windemere 1/2 that starts somewhere in the valley and ends in Riverfront Park. It was a beautiful morning- a runner's dream! They did fantastic. I am so proud of them! They ran a few training runs with me (can't count Eric since he is always about a mile ahead:)) and I loved it! TJ and I ran a 10 miler together and poor guy- he had to watch for passing cars while his big sister took a potty break on the side of the road! He was such a good sport. I hope they continue to train so that I have someone fun to run my long runs with (and watch out for cars while I "go").
My mom, dad, Rowen, and I (Eric was working) headed down to Riverfront park bright and early. We met up with Erin's family and waited at the Big Red Wagon for Erin and TJ to pass by. While we waited, Rowen had a great time on the slide, running around on the green grass, and watching the ducks- one of his favorite words right now!

Rowen loved the slide. I think I took him up and down it about 15 times!
"Mama, duck, duck!"
After TJ and Erin finished we went out to eat! I ate like I had just run a 1/2 marathon- the food was great! We had a great time chatting and watching Rowen run around the restaurant. Good thing it was a buffet and there were very few people there.
A toast to the finishers! Congrats!
