After months of training, a few colds, a few injuries, a new job, endless hours at school and work, TJ and Erin finished their first (with many more to come) 1/2 marathon last weekend!!
The home stretch! Don't they look great?!

TJ and Erin with their medals
Rowen, congratulating two of his favorite peopleThey ran the Windemere 1/2 that starts somewhere in the valley and ends in Riverfront Park. It was a beautiful morning- a runner's dream! They did fantastic. I am so proud of them! They ran a few training runs with me (can't count Eric since he is always about a mile ahead:)) and I loved it! TJ and I ran a 10 miler together and poor guy- he had to watch for passing cars while his big sister took a potty break on the side of the road! He was such a good sport. I hope they continue to train so that I have someone fun to run my long runs with (and watch out for cars while I "go").
My mom, dad, Rowen, and I (Eric was working) headed down to Riverfront park bright and early. We met up with Erin's family and waited at the Big Red Wagon for Erin and TJ to pass by. While we waited, Rowen had a great time on the slide, running around on the green grass, and watching the ducks- one of his favorite words right now!

Rowen loved the slide. I think I took him up and down it about 15 times!
"Mama, duck, duck!"
After TJ and Erin finished we went out to eat! I ate like I had just run a 1/2 marathon- the food was great! We had a great time chatting and watching Rowen run around the restaurant. Good thing it was a buffet and there were very few people there.
A toast to the finishers! Congrats!

I love the pictures of you and Rowen at the park. He looks adorable in those jeans!
Way to go Erin and TJ! Anyone who would chose to get up on a Saturday morning and run 13+ miles sure impresses me!
He is getting so big! I LOVE the picture of you and Rowen going up the stairs...it just seems so artistic and such a sweet capturing of a moment between mother and son!
We need to have you guys over for dinner soon...Kariya talks about "Roan" all the time. :)
It's so funny that Rowen likes the word "duck" because "truck" is one of Emery's favorite words right now. Everything that drives down the street is a "truck" but what he really loves are the school buses. He starts yelling truck when he sees them :)
I can't wait for all the fun times with Hudson to come. Rowen has gotten so big. Isn't being a mom the greatest! I just love it.
You've inspired me to start running again. I think I'll go for a run this weekend;)
