Loving the sun!

- reaching for things more and more
- will put his arms up about half way to tell us he wants to be picked up
- doing better with tummy time

Just playing
Sitting up so good!

Pax is a little upset here. It looks like he is working out really hard though doesn't it :)!
- loves to eat but certainly has trouble with certain textures- we laugh as we watch him contort his face and spit food out (I realize this will only be funny for a short time)
- nursing 5-6 times a day

Big brother LOVES to feed Paxton.
Rowen, Rowen, Rowen, Rowen, and more Rowen!
Seriously, Pax adores his big brother. I am not surprised because Rowen is pretty entertaining. Pax is actually bored at home when Rowen isn't home. It is obvious that his mama alone is not cutting it. These two brothers are truly so sweet together. I can't wait to see this relationship grow over the next many years.

This is just the beginning of the constant wrestling I'm sure. Oh boy!

His jumper.
Paxton LOVES this thing. It is so funny because Rowen liked it ok but Pax really loves it. He jumps and jumps for quite a long time. I try to only use it when I am cooking to keep it interesting to him.

jump, jump, jump!
This is one baby thing I didn't use with Rowen that I wish I had. I think Rowen would have loved this. Paxton sure does. He can see where we are going, it gives me an extra 20 pounds while walking (good for burning those calories), and daddy doesn't mind wearing it. I love that I can set up the "legs" on it and put him down anywhere. We have used this at the park, at the Y pool, in Seattle at the Space Needle, and just to go on short walks with around the neighborhood. He falls asleep in it easily too!
His pacifier!
Yes, I have a pacifier addict! Hey, it keeps us all much happier so I am fine with it- for now. Seriously, I have a love/hate relationship with the thing but for now it is working out well. He gets it in the car and in his crib and here and there if we are out and about and he is cranky. I try to not let him suck on it throughout the day. I am sure this will become more difficult to control as he gets older.
And just time to relax and play!
Paxton is very playful. He loves to be tickled, laughs when given zerberts, and enjoys being sung to and read to.
Our littlest guy is over a 1/2 year old. The time is flying by- it really is. I am amazed with Paxton's easy going personality every day. He makes our family so happy. We love you Pax!

Tummy sleeper???
My baby who hates tummy time slept on his tummy last night and now for nap! What? He rolls over and snuggles into the side of the crib. He is such a sweetie!

Cooling off
Rowen just had to play with the hose today. I LOVE the sunshine but am not sure I am completely ready for summertime heat :). Rowen on the other hand is in little boy heaven today! Little brother wants to join in so badly. Soon enough sweet boy!

Big day for Paxton
Pax got ear tubes today. He has been an angel! Only a few tears when waking up and he was burpy so that caused some discomfort ( probably from the gas he was given during surgery). Overall it went amazingly smooth! We are so happy it is over, that Pax sailed through it, and are now hoping it relieves any discomfort he was having. Now that the fluid can drain properly he should be able to hear much better too.
Here are some photos from this morning...
By the way, I have figured out how to blog from my iPhone! That is what I am doing right now, sitting in the car, parked in the garage as Paxton sleeps in the carseat. I don't want to move him and risk him waking when he really needs a good nap :).

brothers playing
This video shows just perfectly how Paxton thinks Rowen is the most hilarious thing in the world. These are the moments :). Enjoy.
The best way to start the day
We love mornings when we have nothing to hurry off to. We can play cars in bed and snuggle as long as we wish.
