August

Playing in Papa and Grammy's camper.
Playing with cousin Matt. Rowen just loves Matt :).

Sound asleep. So sweet.

Exploring the feel of avocado between his fingers, toes, leg rolls, chins, etc! He is not so crazy about the taste but loves to make a mess.

It seems like August is flying by. We have had a fun month so far celebrating Liz's 14th Birthday, spending lots of time with family, and going to our 10 year class reunion.

Rowen is growing like a weed, length wise that is. He is looking slimmer and slimmer which makes me a little sad. He is losing that chunky little baby look and growing into more of a toddler look now. We don't know how long he is exactly but we did weigh him- now 20 lbs. The weight gain is really slowing down as he is moving around ALL the time (not crawling yet but everyone is telling me that it will happen in a matter of weeks).

In preparation for going back to work, Rowen spent half a day with Rachel and Kariya where he will be every Monday from now on. He had a great time being completely entertained by happy, little Kariya (15 months). Rachel said that Kariya kept bringing Rowen toys so Rachel had to dig out Rowen every once in awhile :). When school starts Rowen will be with his Nana (Eric's mom) every Tuesday and with his Papa (my dad) every other Wednesday. We are so fortunate to have such amazing family and friends to watch Rowen while I am away at work.

We took Rowen to the park twice over the past few days. Once with his cousins, Matt, Liz, Charlie, and Olivia and then again last night with just his mommy and daddy. He LOVES the baby swing. We even got a few belly laughs out of him while he was swinging away! Eric and I both went down the slide with him but he didn't seem very impressed with that so back to the swing we went for lots of smiles and giggles :). It is just so much fun rediscovering the world with our little guy!
Above are a few photos from the past month. I have many other photos I would love to share that are still on my camera, however, right now I am looking for my camera. I know it is in the house somewhere.

Love the picture of the Rowen smiling - he looks just like you! He looks like he loves that camper. He will be an outdoors boy that is for sure!

Wow, that avocado sure made a mess! We are so excited to have Rowen come play with us on Mondays. Kariya just loved having him around and showing him all her toys. :) She especially loved to hug him! :)
