Then we headed downstairs to see what Santa left for Rowen!

He was so excited and dug into his presents right away. I think he liked taking his cars out of his stocking one by one, lining them up neatly on the carpet and then reaching in for the next surprise the very most. Eric and I had a blast watching his excitement and wonder... he is such a gift.

As you can see... lots of Lightning McQueen trucks, cars, books, etc.!
Ro played with his new toys from Santa for an hour or so before Nana, Grandpa, Uncle Shon, and Uncle Shon's friend, Mike showed up for more presents!

Look at this cool ride! It has pedals inside... soon he will be motoring his way around the house and outside too. Thanks Nana and Grandpa!

Nana and Grandpa got a Wii.

Uncle Shon gave Rowen a Disney Cars race track. Uncle Shon got it all set up for some Christmas morning fun...Rowen figured out pretty quickly how to use the remote control and it has been going nonstop ever since :).
Mike brought Rowen a soccer uniform straight from Germany. We can't wait to see Ro in it this summer kicking around a soccer ball in the back yard!
Thank you all for such thoughtful and fun gifts for our little guy.
Later in the day we headed over to Uncle Shon's house for Christmas dinner. Shon cooked a delicious prime rib (I decided that this should be a new tradition... Shon making the prime rib that is!) and the rest of us contributed the side dishes. It turned out to be an amazing meal.
Rowen had to do a few pull ups to work off all the mashed potatoes and Nana's yummy pie :).

Once again we had an unforgettable holiday together as a family. Merry Christmas!

Shon's beautiful tree.

It looks like you had a great holiday, Liza! And lucky you that you got to sleep in on Christmas day. Both of our kids were up at 5:15! =)
I love the pictures of Rowen with his play kitchen. Ours is still one of the kids' favorite toys even 3 years later!
