Camping Trip #3 2009- Happy 4th of July!

We thoroughly enjoyed our families 4th of July tradition once again this year. The Portch family met up at Keller Ferry for our annual 4th of July potluck. This year's turn out was fabulous- over 40 people showed up. The food was delicious and catching up with family was even better.

We arrived a day early and stayed a day later to spend some time with Papa, Grammy, Uncle TJ and Erin. Rowen really got into playing in the sand this time- he dug right in, ate a bit here and there, and got it in every nook and cranny on his body! We went on a few boat rides, always a good way to cool off. Rowen loves Papa and Grammy's boat- he could stayed entertained with the boat the entire weekend if we let him.

It was very hot on the 4th so we spent most of the day in the water. We would come back to our campsite and within 10 minutes we were too hot and heading back to cool off. Rowen played in the sand with Olivia, mama, daddy, and Uncle TJ and Erin. TJ and Eric through Matt and Charlie up into the air and we all watched and laughed as they fell into the water over and over again!

Giving Grammy a kiss :)

Sitting with papa and getting ticked by Olivia.

Having fun with daddy in the water.

What a great 4th of July tradition! Rowen is truly a beach babe - he is sure right at home at the lake. The picture of him chowing down on blueberries with Olivia is too cute.

That picture of Rowen playing with his dump truck is perfect! He is loving those camping trips...he won't want summer to end... :)
